Principal Accountabilities

  • Primary responsibility is to carry out aspects of yard management which will include: jockeying trailers, fueling and cleaning trailers, cleaning dock areas, and unloading/receiving trailers
  • Secondary responsibility is to assist covering for other yard drivers who are out, due to illness, vacation, etc
  • Will perform plant rounds and assist with trailer checks
  • Must visually check trucks and trailers for safety
  • Any other tasks/projects as assigned by management
  • Availability for weekends on call in the event of the need to unload trailer(s)
  • Cover breaks for security guards as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to learn to drive a tractor-trailer. CDL not required, only drive on company premises.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and/or shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Accuracy, precision, and dependability are a necessity
  • Must be able to be trained as a certified jack driver
  • Must have good people skills and effective communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to work independently


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous production/farm experience
  • Previous Cargill experience
  • Work history in the past 12 months
  • Previous truck driver or yard driver experience
  • Computer knowledge and experience
