Position Description:
The Street Sweeper Operator is responsible for safely operating a street sweeping vehicle to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of streets, parking areas, roadways, and other assigned exterior spaces. The employee will follow scheduled routes to remove litter, leaves, dirt, debris, and other buildup. This position is also responsible for inspecting the assigned vehicle, documenting completed work, reporting equipment or safety concerns, and assisting with other exterior cleaning responsibilities when needed. The successful candidate must be dependable, safety-conscious, attentive to detail, and capable of working independently across multiple assigned locations.
Responsibilities
The employee in this role is expected to complete the following responsibilities:
โ€ข Cover coworkers' assigned exterior areas when they are absent or when help is needed.
โ€ข Safely drive and operate the street sweeping vehicle on assigned routes and at assigned properties.
โ€ข Follow all traffic laws, property rules, safety procedures, and instructions for operating the equipment.
โ€ข Complete required vehicle and equipment inspections before and after each shift.
โ€ข Remove litter, leaves, dirt, debris, and other materials from streets, roads, parking areas, curbs, and other exterior surfaces.
โ€ข Report to the assigned work location on time and in the approved ParkX uniform.
โ€ข Follow ParkX safety procedures and use assigned vehicles, tools, machinery, and personal protective equipment properly.
โ€ข Act professionally and respectfully when working with property staff, tenants, residents, visitors, and the public.
โ€ข Help with special projects, events, emergency cleanups, and other exterior maintenance work as assigned.
โ€ข Keep assigned tools, equipment, storage areas, and supplies clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Keep accurate daily route logs, inspection forms, mileage records, and end-of-shift paperwork.
โ€ข Check fuel, fluids, brushes, hoses, lights, supplies, and other equipment. Tell management when service or replacement supplies are needed.
โ€ข Immediately report vehicle damage, mechanical problems, accidents, unsafe conditions, or maintenance concerns.
โ€ข Follow assigned cleaning schedules, routes, work orders, and checklists.
โ€ข Attend required team meetings and follow updates about routes, safety, site cleanliness, and equipment.
โ€ข Work at other properties or exterior areas when business needs require it.
โ€ข Be available for occasional weekend, overnight, early morning, or after-hours assignments.
โ€ข Follow all ParkX attendance, safety, uniform, conduct, and vehicle-use policies.
โ€ข Ensure the vehicle is properly parked, secured, cleaned, and prepared for the next shift.
โ€ข Report any damaged property, blocked areas, illegal dumping, excessive debris, or exterior safety hazards observed during the route.
โ€ข Complete assigned exterior cleaning duties that may not require the street sweeping vehicle.
โ€ข Uphold ParkX's company values and adhere to attendance, uniform, and conduct policies.
โ€ข Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualification

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Any award under this program is subject to its rules and may depend on individual and organizational performance.
