Job Summary
Responsible for the activation and deployment of the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system to end users. Works closely with the Epic Training Manager, Systems Team Manager, Epic Applications Managers, Testing Leads, Project Managers, and Application Team Leads to monitor system readiness. Role involves planning and implementing the deployment activities necessary for a successful Epic go-live.
Essential Functions
  • All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
  • Develops detailed plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budget estimates, and status reports for assigned responsibilities.
  • Develops risk/issue mitigation strategies, identifies and resolves deployment issues and risk in support of quality and risk management processes.
  • Develops and validates the deployment approach for a technology solution, including plans for adoption, project sites, training, and communication.
  • Develops and delivers deployment materials to support the successful deployment of EPIC for various audience types, which includes communications, project tracking, maintaining checklists, quick reference guides, short videos, and change management materials.
  • Maintains a detailed understanding of deployment activity across multiple projects, to include status and release dates, issues/risks, readiness and impact, and user adoption status.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Healthcare Management, Project Management or related field of study.
  • Experience - Five (5) years in clinical or technical services. Proven experience with leading large scale Information Technology systems deployments preferred

  • In lieu of the educational and experience requirements noted above, an equivalent combination of work/academic experience may be considered.

  • Communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to communicate across the organizational levels with many diverse end users.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross- functional teams on deployment approach, strategies, and plans.
  • Ability to promotes team engagement across team members working on the project.
  • Ability to recommend and take action to direct the analyst with solutions to problems that arise during an Epic upgrade or Epic downtime from a go-live readiness standpoint.
  • Ability to manage and execute in areas of project workplans related to delivery of materials for Epic upgrades, Implementations, and new hospital deployments.
  • Ability to manages and complete multiple concurrent assignments, according to standards and templates.
  • Ability to delivers project scope and requirements, using defined processes, templates, and guidelines for team members.
  • Knowledge of the Epic applications and its modules preferred.
