Job description

The Software Developer supports the development, maintenance, and support of business applications using Microsoft-based technologies. This role focuses on resolving software bugs and issues, implementing enhancements, and collaborating with team members to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Software Development

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using:
    • C#
    • Blazor
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • SignalR
    • Dapper
    • RESTful APIs
  • Assist with implementing new features and application improvements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Bug Investigation and Issue Resolution

  • Investigate reported software defects and application issues.
  • Analyze root causes and implement effective fixes.
  • Troubleshoot issues across development, test, and production environments.
  • Document findings and resolutions for future reference.

Database and API Support

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and related database objects.
  • Support RESTful API development and integration with internal and external systems.
  • Assist with performance tuning and data integrity efforts.

Code Quality and Collaboration

  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and best practices.
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback.
  • Use source control systems and follow established branching and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders in a team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent education and experience.

Technical Skills

  • Basic to working knowledge of C# and object-oriented programming.
  • Exposure to RESTful APIs and web-based applications.
  • Experience with source control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills.
