The Role

As our Dual Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations for two hotel properties.
You’ll ensure the physical condition of both hotels meets brand standards, safety regulations, and guest expectations—while leading teams, managing vendors, and overseeing preventative maintenance programs.

This role requires strong organization, accountability, and the ability to prioritize effectively across multiple locations.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for two hotel properties
  • Ensure guest rooms, public spaces, backofhouse areas, and building systems are consistently maintained and operational
  • Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, and mechanical systems
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance issues promptly, minimizing guest impact
  • Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance staff at both properties
  • Coordinate with hotel leadership to prioritize repairs, capital projects, and renovations
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and outside contractors
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations and brand standards
  • Maintain inspection readiness for fire, safety, health, insurance, and brand audits
  • Monitor and manage engineering budgets, expenses, and inventory controls
  • Be available oncall to respond to emergencies as required

What Makes You You

  • Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or senior hotel maintenance leader
  • Experience supporting multiple properties or complex facilities preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of hotel building systems and preventative maintenance
  • Ability to manage priorities, time, and resources across two locations
  • Handson leadership style with strong problemsolving skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, lifesafety systems, and compliance requirements
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable working with minimal oversight
  • Professional communication skills and a solutionsfocused mindset
