Job Summary
The Cost Control Engineer is responsible for managing and monitoring project costs and ensuring effective control and documentation of all project-related records. This role supports project managers, engineers, and finance teams by tracking budgets, forecasting expenditures, preparing cost reports, and maintaining organized and up-to-date document control systems. The position ensures compliance with internal
procedures and contractual requirements, enabling efficient project execution, transparency, and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities include:
Cost Control

  • Develop and maintain project cost tracking systems and reports.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures.
  • Perform cost analysis and value engineering evaluations.
  • Identify cost variances and propose corrective actions.
  • Support procurement and contracts team with cost estimation and budget alignment.
  • Assist with monthly progress billing and earned value management (EVM) reporting.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and financial status reports.

Education & Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cost control and document management within engineering or construction projects.
  • Proficiency with cost management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Experience with document control systems (e.g., Procore, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
