Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business toestablisha standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation isanticipatedto be completed within 18 to24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may berequired, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview

This rolewill lead the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of legalandcompliancetechnology solutionsincludingcontract lifecycle management and eDiscovery capabilities. This role plays a critical part in enabling scalable, compliant, and efficient legal processes across the enterprisethrough technology. You will work closely with Legal, IT, Compliance, and business stakeholders to modernize platforms,optimizeworkflows, and deliver technology solutions that reduce risk and drive operational excellencewhileachievingDay1and TSA exit separationobjectives. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of legal technology within a transforming organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of legaland complianceapplications supporting contracting,spend andmatter management,intellectualproperty,eDiscovery,capabilities.

  • Oversee implementation, configuration, and lifecycle management of legal technology platforms to meet business and regulatory requirementsincludingsupportingDay1separation and TSAexitobjectives.

  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technology solutions.

  • Evaluate, select, andimplementAIsolutionsin aresponsible manner inahighly regulatedenvironmentwithsensitiveandconfidentialdata.

  • Establish andoptimizeprocesses for contract lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and archiving.

  • Ensure systems and processes support compliance with legal, regulatory, and data privacy requirements.

  • Drive automation, reporting, dashboards, and analytics to improve transparency, efficiency, and decision-making.

  • Manage vendor relationships and external partners, including performance, contracts, and service delivery.

  • Lead and develop a team, providing coaching, performance management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Identifyand mitigate risks related to legal processes, contracts, and data handling.

  • Collaborate cross-functionallyto align legal technology initiatives with overall enterprise IT strategy and business priorities.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degreerequiredin Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, or relevant graduate degree) preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in IT, legal technology, or enterprise applications leadership.

  • Experienceplanning,implementingand supportinglegalandcomplianceapplications,integrations,and datasolutions,particularlyin the domains ofcontract lifecycle management (CLM),eDiscovery,spendand matter management,andintellectual property.

  • Experience driving digital transformation initiatives within legal or compliance functions

  • Strong understanding of legal processes, contract management, and regulatory/compliance requirements

  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and delivering solutions in a matrixed environment

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with leadinglegaland complianceplatformsorsimilar(e.x.Litify,Exterro,Imanage,etc.)

  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and contract negotiation workflows

  • Experience in medical devicesand/orpharmaceuticalsindustryandsolutionssuch asPhysicianSunshine Act(HCP).

  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and information lifecycle management

  • Certifications related to legal operations, project management, or IT service management (e.g., PMP, ITIL)

  • Experience working in global organizations with distributed teams

Other:

  • Language requirement: English (professionalproficiencyrequired)

  • Travel: Up to 10-20% (primarily domestic with occasional international)

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications preferred (notrequired)

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
