Trident Consulting is seeking a " Desktop Support Technicianโ€ for one of our clients in " San Clemente, CA (Onsite)โ€ A global leader in business and technology services.

Title: Desktop Support Technician

Location: San Clemente, CA (Onsite)

Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $36/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)

Duration: 6+ Months


Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload

  • Develop training materials and procedures and train users on the proper use of hardware and software.
  • Set up and deploy equipment for employees, including installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Maintain records of IT support activities, issues, resolutions, installations, and remedial actions.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues by reviewing technical manuals, consulting with users, and conducting computer diagnostics.
  • Escalate major hardware, software, or defective product issues to vendors or appropriate technicians.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of onsite and remote employees.
  • Recommend hardware and software solutions based on organizational needs.
  • Perform desktop and laptop deployments, including hardware and software configuration.
  • Provide regular updates on tickets, open issues, and IT projects.
  • Troubleshoot supported desktop operating systems and applications.
  • Provide hands-on technical support while maintaining system stability, security, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills/Attributes

  • 2โ€“5 years of related IT desktop support experience.
  • Advanced experience with Windows, macOS, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience supporting Active Directory, Entra ID, and Office 365 environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Education Requirement

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
