Our technology client is seeking a Senior Design Researcher to lead high-impact, end-to-end research that shapes digital product strategy across web and native mobile experiences. This is a temporary / contract position. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence on product direction, operating at the intersection of user insight, business priorities and technical complexity. This is not a people manager role.
Location: North Seattle (on-site, 5x per week; this is not a remote role)
Pay Rate: $80.00/hour
Working on-site in North Seattle (5x per week); you'll join a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment and partner closely with product, design, data and engineering leaders to define what to build and why.
What youll do
- Lead and scale design research across multiple product areas, from early discovery to post-launch optimization
- Define research strategy and proactively identify the highest-impact opportunities
- Drive clarity in ambiguous problem spaces and influence product vision and roadmap decisions
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into compelling narratives that resonate with executive stakeholders
- Elevate research practices across teams
- Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholders in a large, complex organization
What were looking for
- 8+ years of experience in UX/design research for digital products (web and mobile)
- Strong online portfolio showcasing recent design research case studies
- Track record of influencing product strategy and executive decision-making
- Experience operating in large-scale, enterprise or consulting-driven environments
- Deep expertise in mixed-method research and strong product intuition
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead through influence in cross-functional teams
Nice to have
- Background in consulting or advisory environments
- Experience in complex, regulated or systems-driven industries
- Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and data-informed product development
