Job description

Bob Johnson Imports is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Title Clerk / Dealership Billing Clerk to join our team in Henrietta, NY. This role is an important part of our accounting and sales support process, helping ensure vehicle deals, title work, registrations, and DMV paperwork are completed accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment, and has strong attention to detail. Previous automotive dealership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will:

  • Bill out retail sales, dealer trades, and vehicle transactions
  • Prepare and review title and registration documents
  • Accurately complete financial agreements, DMV paperwork, rebate forms, warranty applications, and related documents
  • Break down completed deals and prepare the proper documents for banks and lenders
  • Upload rebate and incentive claims for reimbursement
  • Stock new and used vehicles into inventory
  • Maintain vehicle inventory logs, keys, MSOs, and related documentation
  • Update the New York State Book of Registry
  • Edit, process, and submit DMV work for completion
  • Prepare completed registrations to be sent to customers
  • Prepare in-transit and out-of-state paperwork when needed
  • Maintain dealership supplies such as contracts, bank forms, MV-82 forms, registry books, stock tags, buyer guides, odometer statements, and other required documents
  • Stay current on New York State DMV requirements, motor vehicle regulations, and applicable tax laws related to vehicle sales

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Hours are generally Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays and evenings required.

Availability is required for:

  • The last day of the month
  • The last Saturday of the month
  • Occasional schedule adjustments based on business needs
