We are looking for a technically strong engineering professional with experience designing and configuring building automation or control systems within the HVAC or construction industry. The ideal candidate understands control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building subsystems, and can translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for customers and project teams. This individual should be detail-oriented, collaborative with field teams, and committed to delivering high-quality, efficient system designs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and support the operation of complete building control systems.
  • Develop technically complex building automation systems in accordance with contract documents.
  • Create flow diagrams, sequences of operation, bills of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
  • Prepare detailed submittals and documentation to clearly communicate system design and functionality to customers and consultants.
  • Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules required for installation and project execution.
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of system designs.
  • Support system validation and assist in troubleshooting issues with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
  • Participate in project release meetings with the field team to align on scope and execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
  • Strong understanding of control theory, automatic temperature controls (ATC), building automation systems (BAS), and related building subsystems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
