This position is a member of our Water Quality Planning Division.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Oversee, develop, assess/evaluate, and conduct fiscal monitoring of professional service contracts and grants for the Water Quality Planning (WQP) Division of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
  • Coordinate and serve as a liaison with other agency staff (Office of Legal Services, Financial Administration Division, and other TCEQ Divisions) on the development of contracts and grants, including amendments, changes, and modifications.
  • Develop and maintain contract and grant tracking spreadsheets/databases for reporting to upper management.
  • Oversee the contract billing process and resolves discrepancies by defining causes and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
  • Resolve audit exceptions by defining causes of errors and recommending appropriate dispositions. Coordinate the risk assessment process for contract monitoring and planning.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university plus two years of fulltime experience in contracting or purchasing.
OR
Six years of fulltime experience in contracting or purchasing.
Note: Must obtain the Texas Contract Manager Certification (CTCM) within twelve (12) months of hire date.

Work Schedule
Standard business hours are MF, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Water Quality Planning Division.
