Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $80,483-98,368 USD

The Annual Incentive for this position is 10%

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Draft and provide timely contract wording review; assist to respond to client requirements and questions regarding contract language
  • Perform initial review of broker generated (re)insurance agreements and clauses (including direct, assumed and ceded reinsurance)
  • Refer complex and non-standard contract issues to VP of Contracts & Policy Administration
  • Adhere to internal and external compliance and best practice requirements
  • Development and maintenance of Policy, Agreement and Amendment templates
  • Facilitate contract review with all U.S. Health functional areas to ensure timely contract issuance
  • Primary point person for all audits
  • Responsible for account set-up and maintenance of in-force programs in administration system
  • Track and report policy and contact inventories, key statistics, and ensure BU is aware or timing, renewal obligations and other relevant issues
  • Develop training materials, checklists, and presentations, as needed.

Competencies / Experience Required:

  • Contract Analysis experience
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with underwriters to understand the risks covered, and to improve clarity and protections in the documents
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required; ARE & CPCU designations highly desired
  • Knowledge of reinsurance business, and issues in reinsurance contract wording would be an asset
