About the Role

The Installation Specialist/Remodel Technician position is an accounting and project execution professional with the work ethic, technical skills, and experience to perform and coordinate bathroom remodeling installations within our organization. You will take ownership of the project from the initial contract review to completion, ensuring every homeowner receives a "fabulous experience."

This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who possesses strong cross-functional installation skills, takes pride in code-compliant craftsmanship, and excels at maintaining clear daily communication with both customers and the office.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close the job site with the customer daily, reviewing the contract and all products/materials before starting work
  • Perform full-scope bathroom remodeling installations utilizing tile, cabinetry, framing, drywall, paint, plumbing, stone, and acrylic systems
  • Provide a world-class customer experience, proactively addressing concerns and coordinating solutions with leadership
  • Collect client payments and checks at designated project milestones
  • Deliver high-touch internal communication via daily GroupMe updates, including progress photos, completed work descriptions, and next-day plans
  • Conduct daily on-site Zoom updates with the corporate office
  • Represent the Re-Bath and Home Depot brand partnership proudly, actively requesting customer reviews upon project completion
  • Set up comprehensive home protection (floors, doorways, surfaces, and driveways) to respect and preserve the customer's property
  • Safely operate, secure, and maintain company-provided vehicles, trailers, and tools, utilizing safety cones when parked on public streets
  • Inspect all incoming project materials for defects or damage immediately upon arrival
  • Manage trailer inventory by keeping essential plumbing fittings, copper, caulking, and drains stocked, utilizing Restock Request Forms and warehouse visits efficiently
  • Schedule and meet on-site with local building inspectors for both rough and final inspections
  • Coordinate on-site schedules with subcontractors for specialized trades, including electrical work and custom shower door installations
  • Lead, mentor, and provide hands-on skill development and training for developing Apprentices on the job site
  • Accurately track administrative tasks, including daily clock-ins, per diem records, and hotel booking logs as required
  • Maintain standard accountability by conducting follow-up repairs if any installation faults occur
  • Maintain a professional appearance with a clean uniform

Qualifications

  • Proven residential remodeling experience with strong cross-functional skills across plumbing, framing, drywall, and tiling
  • Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication skills; comfortable conducting professional digital updates (Zoom, GroupMe)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach to code compliance and safety standards
  • Ability to work independently, manage a project timeline, and navigate physically demanding, fast-paced work environments
  • Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a professional appearance, clean driving record, and the ability to travel/stay overnight when required
