Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Specialist Level 5 - Tukwila, WA
About the Role
Join Indotronix as a Level 5 Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Specialist and become a vital member of Boeing Commercial Airplanes' In-Service NDT team in Tukwila, WA. Drive innovation in inspection methods and support the entire lifecycle of commercial and defense aircraft, including iconic models such as the 737, 747, 767, 777, 787, KC-46, and B1B. This onsite, first-shift role offers the opportunity to shape industry-leading NDE solutions and ensure the safety, quality, and reliability of Boeing's world-class products.
Responsibilities
- Author, review, and revise NDT procedures to support high standards in aircraft inspection
- Develop Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) for specialized calibration standards
- Set up and calibrate non-destructive test or measurement equipment
- Compose detailed procedure figures illustrating inspection locations, accessibility, and probe placement
- Deliver emergent Level III NDT support across Boeing's commercial aircraft fleet
- Report and analyze potential adverse trends or anomalous inspection results
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to innovate and mature NDT technology
- Provide certification and qualification services throughout the product lifecycle
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' education and hands-on experience in NDT
- ASNT/NAS410 Level 3 certification in ET or UT
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Documented certified NDT hours
- Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, weekends, and in confined spaces
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed
- Associate degree or High School Diploma with substantial related experience
Preferred Skills
- 10+ years of NDT experience
- ASNT/NAS410 Level 3 in ET, UT, or RT with additional method eligibility
- Principal or Responsible Level 3 experience in ET, UT, or RT
- Advanced proficiency in Phased Array UT, Shear wave UT, immersion UT, bubbler UT, Eddy Current Array, LFEC, MFEC, Film, CR, DR, and CT
- Extensive hours in UT (1200+), ET (1200+), and RT (1200+), including specialty hours
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Demonstrated ability to develop advanced inspection techniques
