We are currently seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team and provide support in our Azure cloud computing environment. This role will involve supporting and optimizing the entire Azure environment to ensure ongoing operational excellence. As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Designing, implementing, and managing our business-critical systems and applications in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
  • Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, including vendors, infrastructure engineers, and application owners, to develop and execute and support IT strategies that align with the company business goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of demonstrated IT experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level, mission- critical applications resolving complex issues/situations and driving technical resolution across cross-functional organizations
  • Proven experience (~ 2 years) with Azure cloud platform design, administration, and support
  • Solid understanding of Azure architecture and services, such as Virtual Machines, Group Policy, MFA, Management Groups, Subscriptions, Resource Groups, Azure Regions, Azure Functions, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Azure Savings Plans and pricing models.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure Automation
  • Experience with ITSM tools, especially Service Now
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • 8+ years of demonstrated IT experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise-level, mission-critical applications resolving complex issues/situations, and driving technical resolution across cross-functional organizations
  • Experience in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, Python, C#, Open Source)
One or more of the following Microsoft Azure Certifications:
    • Azure Fundamentals - AZ-900
    • Microsoft Azure Administrator - AZ-104
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert - AZ-305
    • Azure Data Fundamentals - DP-900
    • Azure Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals - SC-900
    • Azure Security Engineer Associate - AZ-500

Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design - Architect and design Azure-based solutions, considering factors such as scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization. Ensure adherence to industry standards and companies IT governance policies.
Technical Implementation - Oversee the execution of Azure system implementations and upgrades, working closely with infrastructure teams to provision and configure Azure resources.
Azure Environment Support - Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the entire Azure environment, including troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and implementing security measures. Collaborate with the IT operations team to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of Azure services.
Infrastructure Optimization - Analyze existing infrastructure and applications, identify opportunities for optimization and modernization, and recommend appropriate Azure services and configurations to maximize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting - Monitor the performance of Azure resources and applications, identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks, and proactively optimize the environment to maintain optimal performance and availability.
Stakeholder Collaboration - Engage with business users, application owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, address concerns, and provide guidance on Azure capabilities and best practices. Act as a subject matter expert on Azure support and contribute to architectural decisions and discussions. Actively participate on the Change Advisory Board regarding Azure Cloud related activities/changes. Schedule system downtime with application and business users.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing - Create detailed technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and operational procedures. Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and provide training to enable the adoption of Azure services and processes.
Continuous Learning - Stay updated with the latest Azure features, services, and industry trends, and provide recommendations on leveraging new technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
