Job description

About Aligned Technology Group (Aligned TG)
Aligned TG empowers organizations to harness the full potential of AWS cloud technologies, driving secure, scalable, and sustainable business outcomes. We approach every challenge with grit, embracing a results-driven mindset to ensure our clients achieve their goals. Our mission is to deliver unparalleled cloud advisory, engineering, financial management, and security services while continuously learning and innovating to stay ahead of industry advancements. Guided by a culture of collaboration and humility-where being "Team AWSome" means leaving egos at the door-we tailor our services to meet the unique needs of technology-enabled startups, mid-market, and enterprise clients. With a focus on execution, agility, and excellence, we are the trusted partner businesses rely on to navigate the complexities of cloud modernization and achieve their strategic objectives.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Advisor (AWS) to drive new business growth by guiding organizations through their cloud journey-from initial exploration to long-term AWS adoption and optimization.
This is a consultative, client-facing role that blends business development with strategic advisory. You will act as a trusted partner to prospects, helping them understand how AWS can unlock business value, reduce risk, and accelerate innovation.
The ideal candidate has a hunter mindset but leads with insight-someone who can open doors, build trust quickly, and translate business challenges into cloud-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Pipeline Ownership
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and marketing leads
• Own the full sales cycle-from initial engagement through close-while maintaining accurate pipeline and forecast discipline
Client Advisory & Discovery
• Lead discovery conversations to understand business goals, technical environments, and cloud readiness
• Position yourself as a trusted advisor, not just a vendor-guiding prospects through AWS strategy and decision-making
Solution Alignment & Value Selling
• Develop and present tailored AWS solutions aligned to client objectives, with clear business value and ROI
• Partner with solutions architects and technical teams to shape compelling proposals and demonstrations
Relationship Building
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across IT, finance, and executive leadership
• Establish long-term trust that positions ATG as a strategic cloud partner
Deal Execution
• Navigate complex sales cycles, including stakeholder alignment, proposal development, and contract negotiation
• Drive deals to close while ensuring long-term customer success and partnership potential
Market & AWS Expertise
• Stay current on AWS services, partner programs, and industry trends
• Effectively differentiate ATG in a competitive cloud services landscape
What You'll Gain:
Advisory Skillset: Develop high-value consultative selling skills in the AWS ecosystem
AWS Expertise: Gain deep exposure to cloud architecture, migration, and optimization strategies
Market Positioning: Build credibility as a trusted cloud advisor across industries
Career Growth: Accelerate your career in one of the fastest-growing segments in technology
Earning Potential: Competitive base + uncapped commission
Professional Development: Access to AWS certifications, training, and industry events
Qualifications:
Experience
• 2-4 years of B2B sales or consulting experience (technology preferred)
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Experience managing full-cycle sales processes
Technical Aptitude
• Foundational understanding of cloud computing (AWS preferred)
• Ability to quickly learn and communicate technical concepts in business terms
Core Skills
• Strong consultative selling and discovery capabilities
• Excellent communication and executive presence
• Ability to navigate complex buying groups
• Highly organized with strong pipeline management discipline
What Makes You Successful in This Role
• You lead with curiosity and insight, not just a pitch
• You're energized by building pipeline from scratch
• You balance relationship-building with closing ability
• You're comfortable operating in technical + business conversations
• You want to become a true cloud advisor, not just a quota carrier
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience selling cloud, managed services, or SaaS
• AWS Cloud Practitioner (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• Familiarity with solution selling methodologies (Challenger, MEDDICC, etc.)
• Background in consulting or professional services
