Job description

Advance your nursing career with an impactful Med Surg Oncology assignment. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to oncology patients, working alongside a dedicated team in a dynamic acute care environment. Enjoy a contract role that also makes time for your life outside of work, with flexible scheduling options and no on-call requirements.
Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, 13-week contract assignment
  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Choose from 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
  • Day or night shifts available
  • No on-call, weekends, or holiday shifts required
Qualifications:
  • Active RN license; BSN preferred
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Valid compact license accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Med Surg Oncology strongly preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience a plus
Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver nursing care for adult oncology patients on a medical-surgical unit
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in coordination with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Administer chemotherapy, monitor patient responses, and manage side effects under set protocols
  • Provide emotional support and education for both patients and their families
  • Document all care and patient interactions in accordance with hospital standards
  • Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control guidelines and regulatory requirements
