Job description

Join Amazon's Legal Department as an Associate Contracts Manager and shape how we build trusted partnerships across our technology ecosystem. You'll review, draft, and negotiate critical contracts that enable Amazon and AWS to innovate at scale, while collaborating with internal teams to streamline processes and solve complex business challenges.
Key job responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including hosted services agreements, software licensing agreements, professional services agreements, amendments, and non-disclosure agreements
- Provide day-to-day legal counsel to business clients on transactions, processes, and communications, helping them navigate complex commercial relationships
- Identify and implement process improvements across the legal team to enhance efficiency and consistency in handling commercial matters
- Manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve contract issues and support successful transaction outcomes
A day in the life
As an Associate Contracts Manager, you'll be at the center of our technology sourcing work, supporting Amazon's internal technology teams and AWS with contract management. Your day might include reviewing a hosted services agreement, drafting amendments to software licensing contracts, or negotiating terms with external partners

You'll provide strategic advice to business clients on transactions and processes, helping them navigate complex commercial relationships. Beyond routine contract work, you'll identify opportunities to improve how we handle agreements-finding ways to simplify workflows and reduce friction across the legal team. You'll work across multiple projects simultaneously, shifting between detailed contract analysis and collaborative problem-solving with colleagues who depend on your guidance.
