The Role
The Amazon Ads Campaign Planner & Activation Specialist is responsible for the planning, activation, optimization, and ongoing management of Amazon Advertising campaigns. This role combines strategic campaign planning with hands-on execution to drive profitable growth and maximize advertising performance across Amazon Ads.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Amazon Ads campaigns, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic recommendations that improve campaign performance while supporting the client's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Campaign Planning: Develop media plans and campaign strategies aligned with the client's business objectives, budget, and performance goals across Amazon Ads.
  • Campaign Activation & Management: Build, launch, and manage Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and, when applicable, Amazon DSP campaigns.
  • Campaign Optimization: Monitor campaign performance and implement ongoing optimizations to improve key performance indicators, including ACOS, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate, sales, and revenue.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare regular performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations for campaign improvements and future growth opportunities.
  • Keyword & Audience Management: Conduct keyword research, optimize targeting strategies, manage search terms, and implement audience segmentation to improve campaign efficiency.
  • Creative & Asset Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams and the client to ensure creative assets, product listings, and campaign requirements are available and up to date before campaign launches.
  • Client Collaboration: Participate in client meetings as needed, providing strategic recommendations, campaign updates, and optimization opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Media Operations, Client Services, and other digital media specialists to ensure seamless campaign execution and alignment with broader marketing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Amazon Ads Expertise: Proven experience managing Amazon Advertising campaigns, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and familiarity with Amazon DSP.
  • Campaign Optimization: Strong understanding of Amazon Ads bidding strategies, keyword optimization, audience targeting, budget management, and campaign scaling.
  • Performance Analysis: Ability to analyze campaign performance, identify optimization opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Retail Media Knowledge: Understanding of Amazon's retail ecosystem, product catalog structure, and marketplace dynamics.
  • Client Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain campaign performance, optimization strategies, and recommendations to both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Platform Proficiency: Experience using Amazon Ads Console and Excel. Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools is considered an asset.
