This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Project Manager to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, or Washington D.C. offices.

This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from any of our offices. The ideal candidate for this position will need to be available to work Pacific or Mountain Time hours (8:30AM-5PM).

The Project Manager at DWT leads cross-functional business and operational initiatives that support firmwide strategic objectives, process improvement efforts, and organizational effectiveness. This role manages a broad portfolio of projects spanning business operations, administrative functions, technology-enabled process improvements, vendor implementations, and enterprise initiatives requiring coordination across multiple departments.

The Project Manager serves as a versatile delivery leader who balances project governance, stakeholder management, communication, business analysis, and operational coordination. This role requires strong organizational and facilitation skills, adaptability across varying project types, and the ability to drive progress in collaborative and matrixed environments.

The Enterprise Project Management Office partners with legal practice groups, business departments, office administration, knowledge management, information technology, and firm leadership to deliver initiatives that improve operational performance and support strategic priorities. We are a collaborative and solutions-oriented team that values initiative, creativity, and low-ego teamwork. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, navigating ambiguity, and contributing to a culture that is both high-performing and genuinely supportive.

On a typical day you will:

Project Planning and Coordination

  • Lead cross-functional projects involving operational improvements, business process enhancements, vendor implementations, technology-enabled initiatives, and organizational change efforts.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, communication plans, and governance structures.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings, stakeholder alignment sessions, and ongoing project governance activities.
  • Conduct business analysis activities including requirements gathering, process documentation, and workflow assessments.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and initiatives.
  • Build collaborative relationships across legal, administrative, operational, and technical teams.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and executive updates.
  • Maintain transparency regarding project progress, risks, decisions, and dependencies.

Project Governance and Execution

  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, scope, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple stakeholders and departments.
  • Manage project documentation, reporting, issue tracking, and change management processes.
  • Support operational readiness and transition planning at project completion.

Vendor and Process Management

  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners to support project execution and delivery milestones.
  • Support procurement coordination, implementation planning, and operational integration activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.

Continuous Improvement and PMO Support

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and lessons learned activities.
  • Contribute to development and refinement of EPMO standards, templates, reporting tools, and governance practices.
  • Promote consistent project management methodologies and best practices across the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of dedicated project management experience within a PMO or VMO in a professional services organization required.
  • Experience leading cross-functional operational or business initiatives required.
  • PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
  • Experience in a law firm strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management tools required.
  • Experience coordinating projects across distributed teams and multiple time zones preferred.
  • Familiarity with project governance, stakeholder management, and process improvement methodologies strongly preferred.
  • Change Management certification is a plus.

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $120,000 to $136,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.

California

The annualized salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $110,000 to $134,000; and in San Francisco is $134,000 to $151,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.

New York

The annualized salary range for this position in New York City is $135,000 to $149,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance.
