About the site - this facility manufactures hair care products (shampoos, conditioners, aerosol products) 750k sq. ft. facility, highly automated and always looking to improve production processes
Sr. Continuous Improvement Manager -
You will be part of the site Sr. Leadership team. You will be responsible for setting the direction for site continuous improvement. You will work cross functionally with multiple departments and stakeholders to drive the initiatives.
What you'll do:
Identifies and executes improvement projects from planning through completion.
Identifies and drives improvement to plant standards, such as visual management, standard work instructions, technical work instructions, centerlines, set up sheets, machine parameter settings, etc.
Collaborates cross functionally to identify and implement improvements.Interfaces with global leaders to report out on local production system roadmaps, performance data, and best operating practices.
Analyze business processes and perform line studies to identify opportunities and drive improvements to completion.
Create Process and Value Stream Maps to identify losses in efficiency, and aids in implementing solutions to improve.
Collaborates to develop short and long-term strategies to reduce waste and increase efficiencies throughout the facility.
Develops and delivers training to the facility.
Owns part of the plant MES system which requires reports to be developed and presented to different corporate functions.
Drives kaizens, implementation of HPS, and other projects focused on improving plant efficiency, machine reliability, sustainability, and the reduction of waste.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
5+ years in Manufacturing environment
Managerial experience necessary, 1-3 years preferred
5+ years implementing structured Lean systems in a manufacturing environment.
Highly developed understanding of TPM methodologies and implementation
Demonstrated ability to present proposals and projects to all levels of employees.
Ability to quantify improvements per KPI, lead RCA to solve production loss issues, lead change, and create process flows, value streams and flow diagrams.
Proficient in the use of value stream maps, fishbone diagrams, 5S, SMED visual management and other Lean tools
Salary - $135-140k with 10% bonus
