Job description

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees HR related questions and concerns.
  • Administer HR policies, procedures, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, terminations, offboarding, and exit interviews.
  • Support recruitment efforts: posting jobs, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and coordinating new hire paperwork.
  • Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, employee communications, and vendor coordination.
  • Partner with management on employee relations issues, coaching, and performance improvement.
  • Maintain accurate employee files, HRIS records, and compliance documentation.
  • Contribute to HR programs and initiatives that support engagement, retention, and organizational goals.
  • Coordinate and track compliance training, certifications, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Prepare reports and analysis on HR metrics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee payroll processing, timekeeping, and tracking of contingent labor hours.
  • Administer unemployment insurance (UI) claims and respond to agency requests.
  • Conduct and document workplace investigations in accordance with policies.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR generalist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, HRIS, and payroll systems.
  • Proven experience in benefits administration, payroll, compliance tracking, and unemployment claims.
