Job description

Marketing Strategy Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid) M-TH (office) Friday (wfh)

Compensation: $110,000+ DOE

About the Opportunity

Kastel Staffing is partnering with a growing business development and marketing agency that helps founders and executive teams accelerate growth through strategic marketing, sales, operations, and technology.

We're looking for a Marketing Strategy Manager who loves solving business problems through smart marketing. This is not a campaign execution role—it's a strategic position responsible for building marketing plans, guiding client strategy, and ensuring every initiative drives measurable business results.

You'll work directly with leadership and clients to translate business goals into clear marketing strategies that creative, media, and digital teams can execute with confidence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead discovery sessions to understand client goals, target audiences, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop integrated marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels.
  • Build brand positioning, messaging frameworks, campaign strategies, and go-to-market plans.
  • Create clear creative briefs and marketing plans that provide direction for internal teams.
  • Partner with media, creative, and account teams to ensure campaigns stay aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend strategic optimizations.
  • Present marketing strategies, recommendations, and performance insights to clients and leadership.
  • Translate complex marketing data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Coach internal teams on marketing strategy, positioning, audience development, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, emerging channels, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing strategy, brand strategy, integrated marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Experience developing strategic marketing plans that produce measurable business results.
  • Strong understanding of paid media, digital marketing, SEO, email marketing, content strategy, social media, and web marketing.
  • Experience building brand positioning, messaging, customer personas, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Comfortable working with marketing analytics, KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while partnering closely with execution teams.
  • Experience working with both B2B and B2C organizations is a plus.

You'll Thrive Here If You...

  • Enjoy solving business challenges more than simply running campaigns.
  • Think strategically but aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • Can simplify complex ideas into clear plans others can execute.
  • Love collaborating with creative, media, and leadership teams.
  • Are naturally curious and data-driven.
  • Take ownership and enjoy helping clients grow.

Why Join?

  • Work directly with founders and executive leadership.
  • Influence marketing strategy from concept through execution.
  • Join a collaborative, entrepreneurial team where your ideas matter.
  • Opportunity to make a measurable impact on client growth.
  • Competitive compensation with long-term career growth potential.
