Job description

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Organic Growth Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $117,000-$130,000

About the Role:

tastytrade's website is one of our most important acquisition tools and we're looking for an Organic Growth Manager who treats it that way. You'll own the strategy behind how traders find us through search, both traditional and AI-driven, and you'll be the person in the room who can say, with data, whether the site is actually working as a growth channel or just sitting there. You'll lead the organic team, set the KPIs that matter, and turn search and content performance into real traffic, rankings, and pipeline - not vanity metrics.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the organic growth strategy for tastytrade.com across SEO and GEO (generative/AI search optimization), setting goals tied to traffic, keyword visibility, and presence in AI-generated search results.
  • Extend that same organic discipline to our app store presence, owning App Store Optimization (ASO) so the tastytrade app is discoverable and competitive wherever traders are searching.
  • Define the KPI framework for organic performance and build the dashboards and reporting that leadership actually uses - separating real acquisition impact from platform-reported noise.
  • Lead and develop the organic team, setting priorities, reviewing SEO/GEO work, and building your people's skills and career paths.
  • Turn organic growth insights into concrete recommendations for the website, content, and site structure - partnering with Product, Content, Brand, and Engineering to get them shipped.
  • Keep a close working relationship with the conversion/experimentation side of the website, so SEO and content changes don't clash with active tests and test results inform organic strategy.
  • Own and evaluate the organic growth tool stack (e.g., GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush-class tools).
  • Track the evolving generative/AI search landscape and adjust strategy and content guidance as it shifts.
  • Partner with Compliance to keep organic growth initiatives aligned with the regulatory standards of a financial brand.
  • Report on organic growth performance, risks, and strategy to marketing leadership on a regular cadence.

Who You Are:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in SEO or organic growth, including some experience managing or leading a team
  • A track record of defining KPIs and building reporting that ties organic work to real business outcomes, not just rankings or traffic
  • Deep, hands-on SEO fundamentals (technical SEO, keyword strategy, content architecture) plus working knowledge of GEO/AI search optimization
  • Strong analytics fluency: GA4 and Google Search Console at minimum, with the ability to pull and interpret your own data
  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, data analytics, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Why This Role Matters:

Most of the company's revenue comes from a small core of high-value, experienced traders, and the strongest channels for reaching them are the ones we own and earn, not the ones we buy. That makes this role the lever. Get the message right, ship it fast, keep it compliant, and the whole engine works better. This is where brand stops being decoration and becomes the thing that compounds.

Company Perks + Benefits:
  • Performance Bonuses
  • Stock Purchase Options
  • Medical/Vision/Dental Benefits
  • 401k Plan
  • 20 Paid Vacation Days (plus an additional paid vacation day the month of your birthday!)
  • 10 Paid Sick Days
  • Gym Membership Reimbursement
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Pet Insurance
  • Wellness & Mental Health Programs
  • Charitable Donation Matching
  • Two Paid Volunteer Days Off
  • Daily catered lunch when in the office
  • Full kitchen with snacks and beverages
  • In-building gym
  • Shuttle to/from Metra
Discretionary Performance Bonus: 8-12% of base salary based on individual and company performance.
