The successful candidate will have a performance marketing mindset, using content and organic discoverability as levers to increase visibility, engagement, and lead generation across search engines, AI-driven discovery platforms, digital channels, and paid campaigns. They will help expand Cresset's digital footprint and authority signals to support both SEO and GEO/AEO performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage SEO-driven content plans, editorial calendars, and content workflows that support organic growth and lead generation objectives.
  • Write, edit, and optimize thought leadership, website content, and other digital assets.
  • Partner with external SEO consultants and internal subject matter experts to develop content briefs, identify opportunities, and execute content initiatives.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase off-site visibility and authority through third-party profile optimization, industry rankings, listicles, guest articles, interviews, publisher placements, citations, and brand mention opportunities.

Organic Growth & Search Optimization

  • Collaborate with the Head of Growth Marketing and external partners on SEO and GEO/AEO strategy and execution.
  • Execute initiatives that improve discoverability across search engines, AI assistants, LLMs, and answer engines.
  • Identify opportunities to increase qualified organic traffic and leads
  • Monitor and optimize content performance to improve rankings, AI discoverability, engagement, and business outcomes.
  • Stay informed on emerging AI search trends and recommend practical opportunities to improve organic visibility and authority.

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, content marketing, or related marketing roles.
  • Proven track record of creating and optimizing content programs that drive measurable business impact.
  • Strong SEO expertise and working knowledge of GEO/AEO and AI-powered search ecosystems.
  • Strong content marketing experience, including editorial planning, content strategy, writing, and editing.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Experience managing content production workflows and collaborating with agencies, consultants, or external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with SEO and performance tools such as GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Attributes (optional)

  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, fintech, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for content optimization and performance analysis.
  • Familiarity with off-site SEO, digital PR, publisher ecosystems, and brand authority-building strategies.
