Marketing and Communications Job Summary Bumpa is building the future of commerce in Africa by helping businesses start, run, and grow more easily. As our products evolve, we need stronger customer communication across the journey, from discovery and onboarding to adoption, retention, and conversion. This role is part of that work.

We're looking for a marketer who can spot gaps within the customer journey and figure out how to use content, copywriting, and email marketing to achieve marketing and product goals. We're also looking for someone comfortable with data: a marketer who uses data to make informed marketing decisions, tracks the things they do, and how it contributes to the bottom line. Job Details Purpose of the Role This role exists to improve how customers discover, understand, adopt, and convert through Bumpa's Engage products. The Content Marketing Associate will support retention and conversion by using content, copywriting, lifecycle communication, and customer-facing insight to strengthen the customer journey. This is not a content creator role.

It is a role for a marketer who understands how content and communication contribute to product growth and business outcomes. About the Role We are looking for a strong marketing associate with 2–3 years of experience who can combine writing, customer understanding, and execution to improve retention and conversion. You will work across product communication, lifecycle marketing, landing page optimization, and feature awareness.

You should be someone who writes well, thinks commercially, pays attention to detail, takes initiative, and is comfortable speaking directly with customers. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow at the intersection of content marketing, lifecycle marketing, and product marketing. What you'll be doing Managing product discovery and feedback calls with users & customers, and help turn insights from those conversations into stronger messaging and better conversion opportunities Create and optimize copy for product and marketing landing pages Write clear, useful, and search-informed articles or feature education content to improve awareness and understanding of released and optimized features Create emails and lifecycle content that support user adoption, retention, and conversion Support product communication across blog posts, release notes, emails, rollout messaging, and campaign assets Work with product, design, and marketing stakeholders to improve messaging across key customer touchpoints Track content and campaign performance, and recommend improvements based on what is working Contribute to campaigns that support adoption of Engage features An Ideal Candidate A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in content marketing, preferably within the SaaS or tech industry.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Experience in creating email workflows or drip campaigns that drive conversion. Proven ability to create SEO-driven content with measurable success in increasing traffic and engagement.

Experience in copywriting, campaign ideation, and landing page optimization. Strong understanding of content distribution strategies, including social media and email marketing. Highly analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Experience or ability to navigate tools like Customer.io, Flodesk, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, etc., for customer engagement or event tracking. High levels of creativity and a strong sense of ownership of retention and conversion pipelines. What's in it for you?
