Web Content Specialist Level: Journeyman | Work Location: Hybrid - McLean, VA

This position is contingent upon contract award.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Red Carrot is seeking Web Content Specialists to write, edit, and manage content across the customer's website, SharePoint, and Google Sites platforms, while also developing and delivering training on web content processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Write and edit content for websites, SharePoint, and Google Sites pages following established style guides
  • Manage content reviews and use content management systems to upload, maintain, and post web content
  • Optimize text for search and ensure all web pages comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements
  • Coordinate the quarterly certification process to keep web content current
  • Crop, recolor, resize, and otherwise prepare web images as needed
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions on web content tools and processes
  • Coordinate database content updates, quality checks, and data entry review
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related discipline
  • 5-7 years of experience in web content management, including 3 within the last 5 years
  • Experience developing and delivering training materials preferred
  • Transportation sector experience, especially highway and surface transportation, preferred
  • Ability to obtain a USDOT Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential
