Description:

Vistra is seeking 2 Web Content & Training Writer/Editors to create and edit web content, documentation, and training materials, and deliver outreach training to staff. These are onsite roles in either McLean, VA, or Washington, DC.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Write and edit web content, documentation, and effective training materials that comply with the agency’s style guide and requirements, and manage the content review process
  • Use the agency Content Management System (CMS) to upload, maintain, and post content on agency websites and intranets
  • Optimize text and images for SEO and accessibility, ensuring compliance with federal accessibility laws and standards
  • Coordinate the agency’s quarterly web certification process to ensure that digital content remain current, accurate, and compliant
  • Use graphic design applications to create, edit and manipulate web images
  • Ensure all web pages and web content are compliant with federal accessibility laws and standards (Section 508/WCAG)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in web content management, 3 of which shall be in the last 5 years
  • Project management or change management experience is a plus
  • Knowledge management or database content management preferred
  • Transportation experience, especially in highway and surface transportation, is preferred.
  • Public Trust is required; Security Clearance is preferred.
