Job Summary:
Apolis is a company seeking a Senior Web Content Developer to lead the web development group’s technical resources. The role involves analyzing complex business and technical problems, developing a content management system, and mentoring less experienced developers.
Responsibilities:
• Develops and architects the Content Management System design including Digital Asset Modeling, Digital Asset Management, Digital Asset Migration, Asset Taxonomy, Content Authoring Workflow, and Content Publishing and Automation.
• Leads the development of the next generation web content platform.
• Creates an extensible content platform that can be leveraged for all digital needs.
• Builds internal and external facing API’s for the purposes of consuming and displaying content and other digital assets.
• Investigates and implements the most current Content Management System capabilities to serve Republic’s digital requirements.
• Partners with both internal and external development teams to develop solutions for digital content integration.
• Develops re-usable frameworks for content delivery and content migration.
• Defines and enforces best practices for optimal application and system uptime and system remediation and recovery requirements.
• Designs and develops new web and content modules that can be reused throughout the company.
• Enforces software development standards and mentors less experienced developers.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Content Management System design, build, and integration. Drupal is a must.
• Developing and consuming RESTful web services.
• Experience deploying to cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience with e-commerce and JavaScript framework such as Angular and React.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, from a four-year college or university, or equivalent.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies, web development and object-oriented programming methodologies.
• Experience in developing highly transactional, mission critical applications.
Preferred:
• 5 years of relevant experience in software development, information systems, or an equivalent technical environment, including previous experience leading the development of highly transactional mission critical applications in environments for multi-user systems.
• Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, functional and technical requirements, coding, debugging, testing, release, and operational support.
• Experience with software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
