JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Digital Content Producer is responsible for leading the day-to-day execution of video content across the Utah Jazz digital and social media channels. From game nights to the NBA Draft, this person is producing, capturing and editing content to grow the Utah Jazz brand and elevate our storytelling for a global NBA audience. As a leader on the digital content team, you'll bring a sense of urgency to each project with a collaborative and competitive mindset. This role will assist in developing the content strategy for the Jazz, in addition to supporting the larger video content team with commercial initiatives and feature projects. Each candidate must provide a portfolio for review.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the day-to-day digital video content production and execution across the Utah Jazz social channels.
  • Act as a lead videographer for all Jazz home games and some away games, being able to capture content on both full frame cameras and cell phone cameras as needed.
  • Manage and mentor the digital content team, setting an example in professionalism and execution of content.
  • Lead and organize the video content and video editing assignments for all Jazz games.
  • Quickly turn video edits for social media following all Jazz games.
  • Enhance branded content by bringing new and creative edits or concepts to collaborative projects with the corporate partnerships and business developments teams.
  • Working with the Senior Director of Content and Social Media Manager, create and execute a video content calendar for both long and short term content planning.
  • Set goals for the video team, with both social KPIs and business objectives guiding those decisions.
  • Stay up to date with trends and best practices across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and other emerging platforms.
  • With a self-starter mentality, champion your own content ideas and the concepts of others with a willingness to take a concept from "ideation" all the way to hitting "publish."
  • Working alongside our creative services team, bring forward new ideas and ways of executing large-scale video projects, such as longform video features or commercial productions for team partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A strong portfolio of previous video work is mandatory. Previous experience in professional sports is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in video production for digital and social media.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in sports (preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Creative Media, Communications, similar programs or demonstrated experience.
  • Wide range of experience and expertise with full-frame or cinematic cameras (i.e Sony, RED, ARRI, etc.).
  • Advanced editing skills on both mobile and desktop platforms, with an emphasis on quick-turn, vertical video content.
  • Excellent planning and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media and related technologies.
  • Must have a sound understanding of the NBA and Utah Jazz, in addition to a strong grasp of trends across sports.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to shoot video with a cell phone and/or full-frame digital camera.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
