Marketing Content Manager (Austin, TX) Role Summary

The Marketing Content Manager defines content strategy for Wiโ€‘Fi Alliance, maintains core communication channels (i.e. The Beacon blog and The Signal podcast), establishes an executive thought leadership program, and drives the development of marketing content for communications, public relations, regulatory, and technology launch activities.

The Marketing Content Manager reports to the Director of Marketing Communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Wiโ€‘Fi Alliance content strategy and create wide range of industry content across various market segments for use in marketing and public relations activities
  • Help establish consistent thought leadership program and create impactful executive presentations, articles, remarks, and other content for industry and member events
  • Work with subject matter experts and members to identify content gaps and develop industry highlight sheets, reports, brochures, event presentations, contributed articles, asset packages, digital toolkits, electronic and social media content
  • Own and manage The Signal podcast, driving content strategy, editorial planning, production, promotion, and performance analytics to amplify Wiโ€‘Fi Alliance thought leadership
  • Manage The Beacon blog editorial calendar and regular Insider newsletter (monthly) and increase promotion and awareness of Wiโ€‘Fi Alliance activities through these channels
  • Support global PR programs with written content for press releases, media presentations, byline articles, etc.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager in developing content for digital marketing (web content, eโ€‘newsletters, social media, animations, videos, etc.)
  • Curate and post content for wiโ€‘fi.org public and member websites
  • Monitor industry media and research; develop and maintain Marketing Communications Data Library for reuse in marketing materials and social media activities
  • Facilitate creation of the organizationโ€™s Annual Report and Annual General Meeting per company bylaws, including schedule creation, content development and edits, and work with cross-functional teams and vendors
  • Create email copy and cadence for automation campaigns to support marketing objectives
  • Support internal Sales and Product Management teams through content and quarterly newsletter
  • Update and maintain the organizationโ€™s New Member Onboarding training deck to give incoming members a holistic understanding of Wiโ€‘Fi Alliance membership, certification, marketing opportunities, and values
  • Support regulatory efforts through blogs, press releases, podcasts, reports, presentations, and web content
  • Stay up to date with ongoing education in the latest marketing tools and strategies, including AI, SEO, and content best practices, to ensure the organization remains a leader in Wiโ€‘Fi content
Experience & Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of highโ€‘tech marketing content development experience
  • International communications experience
  • Experience using AI content creation tools
  • Strong writing proficiency in various mediums, i.e., papers, social media, blog/podcast, contributed articles
Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand technical concepts with the ability to adapt and modify communication style to various audiences
  • Willingness to travel infrequently, with advanced notice
Education

Bachelorโ€™s degree required.

Position to be based in Austin, Texas. Applicants must live within reasonable commuting distance to the Austin office. No relocation assistance provided.
