About the Role

Talarico for Texas is building a people-powered movement to take back power for working Texans. We are seeking a full-time Content Writer to join our communications team and support the ideation and drafting of digital content capable of breaking through an increasingly fragmented and fast-moving new media environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely drafts for speeches that are capable of translating messaging and policy priorities into compelling, accessible narratives.
  • Contribute to the ideation and rapid development of content concepts, messaging angles, and creative executions optimized for an evolving digital media environment.
  • Collaborate with team members responsible for content production (editors, videographers, etc.) to ensure drafts are compatible with the desired production outputs.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in political communications, digital media, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing skills and strong editorial judgement. 
  • Deep familiarity with the evolving digital media landscape, including video trends and platform-specific best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to balance speed with quality in a rapidly adapting political environment.
  • Willingness to work nights and some weekends.
