Job description

Meta operates one of the largest Content Delivery Networks in the world. The Edge Production Infra & Connectivity team supports all connectivity for the Meta product family, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and all future AI endeavors. We are a global team of network professionals who engage with our ISP partners to identify and solve a wide array of challenges in both developed and growth markets. Our goal is to enable massive scalability, reliable service, and high performance, all of which are critical to helping build community and support global connectivity. you will help with planning and implementation of our constantly evolving network that provides Meta with high-performing network delivery on the edge. The Edge Delivery Manager will be the primary contact for developing an implementation plan with key networks across North America which are based on a forecast and partnering with internal teams to develop strategies for successful project deployment and growth of the edge. In this role, you will also work with partner networks around the globe, to enable continual growth across our entire portfolio of products.
Edge Delivery Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of Internet Service Provider (ISP) partners, including their peering and caching footprint, monitoring their utilization paired with their forecasted demand and ensure sufficient capacity is negotiated and available across peering, colocation and caching services
  • Lead business reviews and strategic planning sessions with key network partners in the region
  • Clearly present Meta Network Appliance (MNA) and interconnection concepts for audiences of various sizes
  • Work closely with engineering, planning, sourcing & interconnection teams on deployment work
  • Evaluate Meta’s network capacity and reliability goals. Translate into requirements and drive roadmaps with internal and external partners around peering and caching
  • Identify opportunities and requirements for automation & tooling that improve delivery times and employee efficiency
  • Provide analysis and planning support to the infrastructure, data analytics and product teams to enable more efficient ISP partner engagements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • BA/BS or equivalent in technical or business related field with at least 8 years of experience in network delivery, ISP partner management, or related infrastructure field
  • 4+ years of experience with negotiations and relationship management with Internet Service Providers
  • 4+ years of experience in network interconnection and peering delivery in North America
  • Understanding of internet infrastructure fundamentals related to peering, content delivery networks and caching
  • Business and technical knowledge of networking, particularly in peering and transit
  • Willing to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in configuration of network elements such as Juniper routers, switches, etc. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a plus
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience taking data from various data sets (e.g., SQL & data warehouse query tools) and dissect the data to make informed decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Background in negotiations with network partners using a data-backed approach
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
