What is a Content Delivery Manager?

A Content Delivery Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing the distribution and delivery of digital content across various platforms and channels. They coordinate the workflow between content creators, technical teams, and end-users to ensure timely and efficient content publication. Their role often includes managing schedules, ensuring content quality, troubleshooting delivery issues, and optimizing processes to improve user experience. Content Delivery Managers work closely with stakeholders to align content strategies with business goals and technical requirements.

How does a Content Delivery Manager typically collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate content deployment?

A Content Delivery Manager works closely with teams such as content creation, IT, marketing, and product management to coordinate the smooth delivery of digital assets. They often act as a liaison, ensuring content meets technical requirements, aligns with brand standards, and is released on schedule. Regular cross-functional meetings, clear communication channels, and well-defined project timelines are essential tools in this role. Effective collaboration helps prevent delays, resolve technical issues quickly, and keeps all stakeholders informed throughout the content delivery process.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Content Delivery Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Content Delivery Manager, you need expertise in project management, digital content workflows, and a solid understanding of content management systems, often supported by a bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field. Familiarity with tools like CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal), project tracking software (e.g., Jira, Asana), and analytics tools is commonly required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams help you excel in this role. These skills ensure timely, accurate content delivery that aligns with business goals and enhances user experience.

Job description

FUGA provides forward-thinking music distribution, technology, and marketing services to forward-thinking music companies. Working at the heart of the music industry with more than 800 clients, including Beggars Group, Epitaph, Naxos, and Ninja Tune, FUGA is the world's leading full-service B2B music distributor.
FUGA works at the forefront of music distribution technology, connecting its clients with digital service providers like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and TikTok - while helping them get the most from their music, whether that's with award-nominated label services, industry-leading revenue accounting, or using FUGA's suite of best-in-class products.
We are currently looking to grow our Content Operations team with a new team member focused on quality assurance and metadata validation for digital music releases. This is an excellent position for someone looking to further their career in the music distribution and technology space with growth opportunities beyond that.
**Location: This role can be based in either Amsterdam or London**
What You Do
Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a global content operations team to ensure the quality and accuracy of digital music releases delivered to digital service providers (DSPs), including Spotify, Apple Music and other major platforms worldwide
  • Review, validate and quality-check metadata and digital assets - including audio files, artwork and release information - to ensure they meet internal standards and DSP-specific guidelines
  • Manage and resolve client content-related enquiries through internal ticketing systems, consistently meeting established service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Lead the content evaluation process for new clients, providing guidance and recommendations to support successful distribution
  • Play a key role in Content Client Support, delivering timely and effective assistance to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Provide regional coverage and collaboration across EMEA markets to ensure consistent service delivery and operational excellence

Who You Are

  • Demonstrable experience within the music industry, particularly in content operations
  • Proven ability to thrive in agile, fast-paced working environments
  • Strong understanding of data-driven decision-making and performance measurement, with a working knowledge of SQL and database management
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work
  • Able to effectively prioritise tasks and maintain focus while managing multiple client-driven deadlines
  • Proficient in using Google Workspace (G Suite) or similar productivity tools to organise, streamline and prioritise workloads
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and stakeholders

What You'll Gain

  • Join a truly international organisation, working alongside colleagues and clients from diverse cultural, professional and musical backgrounds across the global music and technology sectors
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple territories and operating companies (OpCos), gaining exposure to a broad range of markets, perspectives and industry expertise
  • Work in a supportive and collaborative environment where ideas, feedback and continuous improvement are actively encouraged and valued
  • Partner closely with the Director of Content Operations, providing opportunities for mentorship, professional growth and exposure to strategic initiatives
  • Enjoy the flexibility of working from either FUGA's headquarters in Amsterdam or its London office as part of a globally connected team
  • Play a role in shaping how music reaches audiences worldwide, helping artists, labels and rights holders succeed in an evolving digital landscape
