Job description

As a Senior Creative Motion Designer at Roblox, you will create engaging video content and provide marketing support for key areas of the business, including Business Marketing, Growth Marketing (App Stores) foundational brand building and more. This hands-on role is pivotal in delivering crafted brand narratives at scale. You're an editing, content-creating, story-telling, asset-evaluating, problem-solver. You are a strong collaborator who is organized and works efficiently towards deadlines. You've got a technical eye, understand the tools you have to create content with and you're unafraid to take creative risks. Your unwavering attention to detail, collaborative mentality, project management skills, and passion for design and technology will be integral as we embark on our mission to bring millions of people together through shared experiences.

You Will:
  • Enhance the overall Roblox brand by creating compelling, nimbly crafted video materials about our brand, products and features
  • Contribute to how Roblox is defined and understood across all marketing surfaces
  • Build cinematic style trailers, short form videos, and presentation and sales enablement videos. These will show up on a wide range of surfaces including app stores, web, social, conferences
  • Work with copywriters and designers to define ideas, and maintain a cohesive brand across all surfaces and channels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create, refine and craft video content that tells easily understood narratives
  • Implement feedback from creative leads and cross-functional partners
  • Source music and sound design
  • Follow standard methodologies for exporting final deliverables in accordance with the formats of various media platforms.
  • Champion creative and technical development among team members
You Have:
  • At least 5 + years of professional experience editing for commercial and corporate content.
  • An outstanding reel that showcases crafted editing.
  • Experience in motion design, and motion graphics
  • Experienced knowledge in NLE software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.). Proficient in After Effects and the ability to execute on motion graphic templates as well as other Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder). Technical knowledge of video codecs and design principles.
  • Strong visual style with a keen focus on cinematic editorial composition. Professional experience in music theory and audio editing capabilities.
  • A thoughtful and resilient mindset. You understand that the editing process is iterative and have the ability to operate nimbly.
