Job description

About the Role:
Baird's Marketing & Communications team is seeking an Intranet & Web Content Specialist to own and continuously improve our SharePoint-based intranet and support corporate web content. In this role, you'll serve as the day-to-day steward of our intranet experience, ensuring content is trusted, easy to navigate, and aligned with how associates work, while partnering closely with stakeholders across the firm. You'll blend platform ownership, content governance, analytics, and stakeholder enablement to drive a consistent, high-value digital workplace experience.
The preferred location for this position is our Milwaukee office, working 4 days per week in the office.
The Impact You'll Make:
  • Own the day-to-day administration and ongoing evolution of Baird's intranet and corporate web content platforms (SharePoint and CMS), ensuring reliability, usability, and content quality
  • Partner with stakeholders across the firm to gather needs, translate them into practical solutions, and prioritize enhancements that improve navigation and user experience
  • Establish and maintain intranet governance and publishing standards, including content lifecycle guardrails, intake workflows, and quality checks to improve consistency and trust at scale
  • Enable and support a decentralized network of 150-200 content owners through onboarding, training, documentation, and ongoing guidance
  • Monitor intranet performance and search behavior; build dashboards and recurring reporting to surface friction points and inform prioritization and roadmap discussions

What You'll Bring to Baird:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Systems, or related field; 3-5 years' experience in intranet, SharePoint, digital platforms, or a related content/platform role
  • Experience owning or supporting an intranet experience, including content governance and publishing best practices
  • Hands-on SharePoint experience (SharePoint Online preferred), including site and page management
  • Experience supporting a website CMS for content updates and page builds (Optimizely preferred)
  • Ability to build clear documentation and training for decentralized content contributors; familiarity with digital analytics and reporting tools (e.g., GA4, Looker Studio, Power BI); strong communication and organization in a cross-functional environment
