Job description

  • Plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections, including corrective, preventative, or predictive work on industrial mechanical and rotating systems and equipment such as centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw compressors
  • Manage maintenance and repairs of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
  • Service turbines and synchronous and induction motors
  • Maintain high-speed gearboxes
  • Oversee heat exchangers, cryogenic interchangers, chillers, and cooling towers
  • Work on piping systems and other related process equipment
  • Provide on-site or remote technical support and guidance to regional sites
  • Assist in turnaround planning and mechanical work cost estimation
  • Identify and resolve chronic mechanical asset issues (bad actors)
  • Support root cause analysis programs for major equipment failures
  • Address high-impact issues with urgency and integrity
  • This position requires a combination of office and field work responsibilities with approximately 30 percent domestic travel
  • Maintain accessibility during off-hours as required
  • Work in various weather conditions and access elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets
