Job description

Forklift Operator

Ocean Spray is now hiring forklift operators at the Middleboro facility. This 600,000 square foot processing plant has three production lines and can produce up to 80 million pounds per year of sweetened dried cranberries (craisins). This volume represents more than 30% of Ocean Spray's North American sweetened dried cranberry volume and is operated with a workforce of approximately 200 team members. This position is a 12-hour rotating shift from 6pm-6am with rotating weekends off with a starting pay rate of $24.87 plus a shift differential. This role is year-round indoor work, with three 30-minute breaks throughout the shift.

Position Overview:

The primary responsibilities of this position are to proficiently perform the duties associated with the operation of forklifts, which can include the handling of raw materials and finished goods either by hand or with material handling equipment. This may also include the sanitation of food storage containers and general housekeeping.

Responsibilities:

Handles materials, raw, packaging and finished goods either by hand or with material handling equipment.

โ€ข May perform quality and sensory tests involved in production of products.

โ€ข Must maintain accurate production, quality, and operational records as required.

โ€ข Loads and/or unloads trucks of materials, concentrates, etc. and perform other related duties as necessary.

โ€ข Cleans areas to encompass all general cleaning as well as sanitation events for production equipment.

โ€ข Has operational and working knowledge of all equipment as required to perform sanitation function.

โ€ข Has knowledge of all sanitation chemicals and their application.

โ€ข Track/record quality/production events in appropriate system (e.g. Redzone)

โ€ข Ability to transfer on/off forklift multiple manufacturing execution systems during shift.
