Job description

Position Summary:
Responsible Driving and transporting goods between the distribution center and various locations/clients, including loading and unloading cargo/inventory. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, maintain accurate records, and perform routine vehicle maintenance checks.
Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Transportation:

Drive trailer, truck vehicles to transport cargo/inventory and materials to and from the distribution center.
  • Loading/Unloading:

Loading and unloading cargo/inventory, which may involve using pallet jack and conveyer or other equipment to move pallets/boxes and large items.
  • Delivery Management:

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations/clients, which may include interacting with clients. Using various equipment that may include manual conveyors, carts or pallets in a multi-temperature environment. Effectively maneuver equipment on lots of limited space and possible obstacles.
  • Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and any other relevant information.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:

Performing routine checks on the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues, and ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Route Planning:

Utilizing GPS and other routing systems to plan efficient delivery routes and ensure timely arrival at destinations.
  • Safety and Compliance:

Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company safety procedures.
  • Customer Service:

Providing professional and courteous customer service during deliveries and addressing any delivery-related inquiries or concerns.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 9 License
  • Good Choferil
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or equivalent experience in the military
  • Willing to work any schedule, including weekends and holidays, due to our 24/7 environment
  • Customer-focused, team-player attitude
  • Demonstrated safety behavior
  • This position must pass post-offer background, pre-employment screening and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Prior foodservice distribution/delivery experience
  • TWIC Card
