Job description

Overview

Preparation of timely and accurate loan documents for Real Estate and Non-Real Estate loans including but not limited to, purchases, refinances, home equity, construction loans, secured and unsecured consumer loans using bank provided software. Communicate with relationship managers, attorneys, and underwriters to ensure accurate processing and closings.

Responsibilities
  • Utilizes bank provided Software to prepare loan documents required for each specific loan type, including but not limited to car loans, mortgage loans, HELOCs, and Construction loans
  • Adheres to all related compliance regulations including but not limited to TRID, Flood and HMDA
  • Works with RMs, underwriting and closing agents to obtain required information for complete and accurate loan documents
  • loan operations contact for RMs with questions about the Bank’s consumer, mortgage and construction loan documentation processes
  • Preparation of Loan Estimates and Closing Disclosure for real estate loan packages
  • Updates loan pipeline activity and status
  • Ensures that closing documents are prepared and reviewed within the guidelines set forth in the approved Credit Memorandum
  • Prepares loan files for post-closing and booking, including document imaging preparation
  • Answers inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
  • Responds to inquiries/contacts branch employees, lenders, and third parties in a courteous and timely manner
  • Adheres to all Bank policies and procedures
  • Assists in updating policies and procedures when appropriate, including making suggestions for process improvements
  • Regularly reviews and complies with Consumer Loan regulations
  • Monitors all loan documents for compliance purposes
  • Attends meetings as needed/required
  • Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Collaborates with processing team on complicated or unique issues
  • Update checklists and processes, as needed
Qualifications

Knowledge

  • 1 + years of related experience required, preferably in consumer and mortgage (including construction) loan processing and documentation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in loan processing and consumer lending regulations required.

Skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and PC skills are required. 
  • Must be detail-oriented. Strong rapport-building, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Abilities

  • Ability to balance meeting daily objectives while promptly responding to telephone and email inquiries. 
  • Must be able to manage time wisely, yet have the flexibility to step outside of a typical routine to handle unexpected situations.

Education

  • High School diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree preferred.

Physical demands

  • Employee may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
    • view computer monitors, keyboarding, sitting, motion of fingers/hands/wrists, and standing/walking;
    • occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed primarily in an operational office environment.
