Position Summary: At BBU, the consumer insights group seeks people who endeavor to create a Competitive Advantage through Insights. The Manager, Consumer Insights reports to the Director of Consumer Insights and serves as a strategic business partner to Marketing and cross-functional teams, delivering actionable consumer insights that drive brand growth and business performance.

This role is responsible for designing, managing, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research to identify opportunities, assess business challenges, and inform decision-making. Provide coaching, guidance, and project leadership to less experienced team members and agency partners, while contributing to the development of Consumer Insights best practices and capabilities. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external research partners, this individual will champion the voice of the consumer and translate data into compelling stories and recommendations. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing research projects, analyzing multiple data sources, and communicating insights in a clear and impactful way.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Lead consumer research initiatives that support brand, innovation, and commercial decision-making.
  • Develop and execute research plans using qualitative, quantitative, syndicated, and internal data sources.
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Partner with Marketing, Innovation, Sales, Category Management, and other stakeholders to identify insight needs and develop solutions.
  • Manage external research vendors, agencies, and study execution from design through reporting.
  • Support development of consumer learning agendas for assigned brands and categories.
  • Deliver clear and compelling presentations that bring consumer insights to life and influence action.
  • Leverage syndicated, marketplace, shopper, and consumer data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, tools, and approaches that strengthen the Consumer Insights function.
  • Serve as an advocate for the consumer in key business discussions and decision-making processes.

  • 5-8 years of experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research, Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading both qualitative and quantitative research projects from design through implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple data sources into meaningful business insights.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to generate business insights from diverse data sources
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization/reporting tools.
