Job description

The Opportunity

Adobe is seeking a Global Industry Strategy Principal for Consumer Goods to help define and scale Adobe's global industry strategy across one of its strategic verticals.

This role operates at the intersection of thought leadership, go-to-market strategy, and executive engagement, helping position Adobe as a strategic partner to leading Consumer Goods organizations navigating digital transformation, experience-led growth, and AI-driven innovation. As the Industry Strategy Principal, you will develop compelling and prescriptive thought leadership and present it to prospects and customers at industry & Adobe events and 1:1 meetings with decision makers and c-suite. You will partner with a diverse ecosystem of sales, product management, and solution consulting to bolster our industry value proposition, drive a coordinated go-to-market strategy and produce internal enablement materials and programs. As an ambassador for Adobe in the Consumer Goods industry, you will also partner with Adobe marketing to drive awareness of Adobe's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Industry Strategy & Planning

  • Co-develop and operationalize Adobe's Consumer Goods industry vision and positioning at the global level, partnering with the regions for local nuances and execution.
  • Translate market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights into actionable strategic priorities and GTM plays.
  • Identify and prioritize industry use cases and solution-specific opportunities.
  • Contribute to multi-year industry growth plans in partnership with Sales and Digital Strategy Leadership.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to influence roadmap based on industry needs.

Thought Leadership & Marketing

  • Develop and articulate Adobe's point of view on topics around digital transformation in Consumer Goods, omnichannel experience & personalization, content supply chain & creative operations, data & insights, AI adoption and more
  • Create compelling thought leadership and marketing assets (presentations, whitepapers, executive narratives)
  • Speak at industry and internal events bringing industry-specific expertise and representing Adobe
  • Assist in developing and managing a marketing calendar for the industry and coordinating main events with the Marketing team

Customer Engagement

  • Support select strategic customer engagements aligned with industry strategies and engage with senior leaders at key Consumer Goods companies as a trusted advisor on industry trends, dynamics and best practices
  • Help translate Adobe capabilities into industry-relevant transformation roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to develop and promote customer success stories.

Best Practices, Enablement & Scale

  • Develop industry-specific enablement materials including Consumer Goods messaging, use cases, and playbooks to scale across the Adobe ecosystem
  • Partner with the enablement team to deliver consistent training programs globally and promote fluency in Consumer Goods across the field
  • Enable partners on Adobe positioning and solutions for Consumer Goods to amplify scale and develop joint GTM and industry solutions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Consumer Goods.
  • Strong understanding of Consumer Goods industry trends, challenges and opportunities, including AI use cases and adoption trends
  • Experience in strategy, marketing, digital, creative or related consulting roles within a global organization
  • Experience with successful programs and transformations, along with an understanding of strategies, operational tactics, and technologies needed to execute at scale
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and analytical skills
  • Strong asset development skills, to translate strategy and trends into scalable materials for the organization
  • Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior stakeholders
  • Highly collaborative, with ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $148,900 -- $271,500 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. In California, the pay range for this position is $187,500 - $271,500 In New York, the pay range for this position is $187,500 - $271,500 In Illinois, the pay range for this position is $168,100 - $243,400 In Washington, the pay range for this position is $169,400 - $245,300

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
