World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Senior Consulting Systems Engineer to support our Army Enterprise Engineering Sales team in Huntsville, Alabama. We are looking for an experienced technical professional who combines a strong understanding of Army missions with expertise in modern infrastructure, cloud, security, and digital transformation technologies. As Army requirements continue to grow in complexity, this role requires the ability to rapidly evaluate challenges across multiple technical domains and leverage AI-driven tools to accelerate solution development and improve customer outcomes. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor supporting Army-focused presales engagements, designing and architecting mission-aligned solutions across WWT's core capabilities, including Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-Cloud and Hybrid Architecture, Security Transformation, and Digital Transformation. You will utilize AI-powered tools to enhance solution architecture, bill of materials (BOM) development, analyses of alternatives, proposal creation, and technical presentations, while applying effective validation techniques to ensure accuracy and solution integrity. Working closely with Army customers, Client Managers, engineering teams, and strategic technology partners, you will lead technical discussions, deliver presentations and whiteboard sessions, develop customized solutions, and help shape complex opportunities that drive mission success. Travel is expected to range from 25% to 50%, depending on customer and mission requirements. Qualifications * Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex technologies and architectures across multiple domains; experience may come from engineering, consulting, technical program management, military, intelligence, or related technical roles. * Experience supporting U.S. Army customers is strongly preferred; military veterans and candidates with Intelligence Community experience are highly desired. * Proven experience leveraging AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and techniques for validating outputs and mitigating hallucinations. * Demonstrated ability to use AI as a force multiplier to accelerate analysis, solution development, and customer engagement. * Comfortable operating in ambiguous and highly complex environments, with the confidence to investigate unknowns and drive issues to resolution. * Exceptional critical-thinking, problem-solving, and discovery skills, including the ability to uncover root causes, clarify requirements, and guide customers toward effective solutions. * Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. * Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and technical consulting skills, including the ability to engage effectively with both technical and executive audiences. * Experience with technologies and platforms such as Cisco, NVIDIA, Dell, NetApp, VMware, AWS, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments is beneficial but not required. * Demonstrated track record of continuous learning and professional development across multiple technical disciplines. * Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area. * Ability to travel 25-50% based on customer and business requirements. * Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Security Clearance; an active Top Secret clearance is strongly preferred. Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $150,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
