About Rancho BioSciences, LLC
Rancho BioSciences is a San Diego-based provider of biomedical data curation and data science services for pharma and biotech, spanning drug discovery through translational research. Our teams of scientists, data engineers, and software experts deliver end-to-end solutions across data curation, management, mining, and analysis to help customers accelerate R&D. We partner long-term with blue-chip clients and emerging biotechs, bringing scientific rigor, quality, and a customer-first mindset to every engagement.
About the role
  • As we continue to grow, Rancho BioSciences is seeking an experienced and dynamic R&D Consultant or Consulting Associate to join our team. This role is critical in driving results across a project, ensuring successful execution, strategic alignment, and effective team collaboration. This individual will support and/or drive client engagements in data-related and technology-driven projects, while maintaining strong client engagement and operational efficiency.

  • Prepare presentations, reports, and strategic roadmaps to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams
  • Support project execution by coordinating stakeholder meetings, tracking deliverables, and contributing to the overall engagement

  • Experience in management consulting with exposure to pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device R&D
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data, conduct market research, and support strategy development
  • Experience in R&D operations, drug discovery, or clinical development, with an understanding of key industry challenges and trends
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to develop high-quality presentations, reports, and financial models to support client engagements
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams, interact with clients, and contribute to project deliverables

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in R&D, including AI/ML in drug discovery, real-world evidence (RWE), and digital clinical trials
  • Prior experience in business development support, such as assisting in proposal writing, competitive analysis, or client presentations

Note: If you have some, but not all of the experience requirements posted, we encourage you to apply. In some cases, the difference will determine the level at which you qualify to join the team - not an immediate knock-out of your candidacy.
The pay range for this role is:
70,000 - 110,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
