Job Summary:

The Services Practice Director is a strategic technical leader responsible for guiding enterprise customers through the successful design, deployment, integration, and adoption of Slack across complex organizational environments, combining technical expertise with executive-level consulting.
Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic technical discovery sessions and customer workshops to assess organizational structure, collaboration needs, governance requirements, and enterprise architecture.
• Design scalable Slack deployment strategies that support enterprise-wide adoption, operational efficiency, and long-term business growth.
• Translate complex technical and business requirements into tailored Slack solutions focused on usability, flexibility, security, and adoption.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to both technical and executive stakeholders throughout the customer lifecycle.
• Architect enterprise-grade Slack environments including:
• Workspace strategy
• User provisioning and lifecycle management
• Authentication and identity management
• Security controls and governance
• Permissions and administrative settings
• Agents, Bots, workflows, and custom integrations
• Advise customers on the implementation of Slack APIs, developer frameworks, and integration best practices.
• Ensure seamless interoperability with enterprise systems and SaaS platforms including GitHub, Jira, Workday, Google Workspace, identity providers, eDiscovery platforms, and DLP solutions.
• Remove technical barriers to large-scale deployment and organization-wide software distribution.
• Support the customization of client applications and automation workflows to optimize user experience and business productivity.
• Create new applications, architectures, and offerings for new solutions for our Delivery Team to implement.
• Facilitate customer-facing workshops that align technical execution with business transformation objectives.
• Present complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling way to diverse audiences ranging from developers and architects to business leaders and executives.
• Partner with customers to scope, validate, and refine solutions for unique enterprise use cases.
• Act as a strategic advisor throughout implementation, ensuring alignment between customer expectations, technical execution, and adoption goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Success, Consultants, System Integrators, and Product teams to drive successful outcomes.
• Maintain strong billable utilization while delivering high-quality customer engagements.
• Lead and influence complex technical initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups and enterprise environments.
• Build deep expertise in Slack’s platform capabilities and broader enterprise architecture technologies.
• Contribute feedback and implementation insights to Salesforce and Slack product teams to enhance future platform capabilities.
• Support the evolution of technical methodologies, deployment frameworks, and best practices across Professional Services.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Strong user and believer in Slack and Salesforce
• 5-6+ years of experience in development, consulting, professional services, solutions engineering, or technical customer-facing roles.
• Strong experience leading and delivering technical implementation projects within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on proficiency with at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, or Python.
• Heavy experience working with APIs, integrations, automation, and data exchange technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to scope, define, and manage technical workstreams and customer solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, SaaS ecosystems, security, and identity management concepts.
• Experience collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Consultants, and System Integrators.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
