Job description

K1 is seeking a Practice Director, Sales to add to our Operations team based in our Manhattan Beach office. The Practice Director, Sales will lead the K1 revenue team and drive go-to-market improvements across the portfolio, working directly with the executive leadership teams to help grow/scale revenue for our portfolio of enterprise SaaS/software companies.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with CEO/executive teams to develop, enhance and maintain operational sales best practices relevant for growth stage SaaS companies
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with portfolio sales teams and be a trusted advisor to CEO/executive team
  • Establish the ability to anticipate potential sales/go-to-market issues and address them
  • Ability to be a source of talent across the firm, and build cross portfolio networks between sales teams, including, but not limited to an annual summit of sales professionals
  • Provide technical and operational advice and leadership
  • Lead the ongoing improvement of K1 reporting practices; enhancing the information provided and the efficiency of its production through process and technology improvements
  • Coach, mentor and develop the K1 sales team

Requirements:
  • Ideally worked as an operator as a CRO/VP Sales/VP Sales Ops and has had multiple successful runs at high growth B2B enterprise SaaS companies
  • Experience improving sales operations for a company with a focus around deal velocity, win rate, analytics, booking growth, forecasting, etc.
  • Track record of developing, enhancing, and maintaining operational sales best practices and GTM improvements across the portfolio (i.e. companies in sub $50-100M revenue range)
  • Enterprise sales background- ideally brings a track record of selling into the enterprise, mid-market, and SMB
  • Any experience in the consulting space (specifically around sales improvement) is a plus
  • A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and manage at all levels of an organization
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Must be based in Los Angeles and work out of Manhattan Beach office
  • Ability to travel
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
