Job description

About This Role
Build your consulting career where you won't get lost in the crowd. At RGP, you will work in a boutique-style environment backed by a global platform with access to a diverse client base trusted by approximately 90% of the Fortune 100 and 70% of the Fortune 500, along with leading private and mid-market organizations. You will gain meaningful exposure to clients, senior leaders, and high-impact work across industries like financial services, healthcare, private equity, and the public sector, building expertise in areas including Finance Transformation, Risk & Compliance, Project & Change Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, Digital CFO, Tax & Treasury, and Supply. With less hierarchy and more trust, you will take on real responsibility from day one, developing both technical depth and client-facing confidence in a collaborative, sleeves-up culture. The result is a faster, more intentional career with broader experience, deeper ownership, and the flexibility to shape your path as your interests evolve.
We are seeking a Manager to join our CFO Advisory team. This individual will drive client delivery and execution across initiatives that help organizations improve decision-making, strengthen financial operations, and drive performance. In this role, you will lead key workstreams, partner with senior leaders, and work closely with clients across business functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong consulting background, experience working across stakeholders, and a track record of delivering high-quality, practical solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Target Salary Rate: $140,000 - $160,000
What You Will Work On
  • Manage delivery of transformation and advisory engagements that integrate strategy, finance, operations, people, processes, technology, and data to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Lead and manage key projects or multiple workstreams, focused on analysis, solution design, and implementation, to help drive measurable business outcomes for clients.
  • Partner with client stakeholders and internal teams to define requirements, identify challenges, and develop practical, scalable solutions.
  • Develop client-ready deliverables, including presentations, analyses, and reports for both working teams and executive audiences.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment and effective communication across workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Drive implementation efforts, including process improvements, systems enablement, and operating model enhancements.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies across engagements and proactively recommend solutions or escalate as needed.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and analytical thinking to assess business needs and support decision-making.
  • Drive to the development of tools, templates, and methodologies to enhance delivery consistency and quality.
  • Build and own strong working relationships with clients and team members, contributing to a positive team environment and high-quality delivery.
  • Coach, manage and train more junior resources delivering upon client engagements.
  • Serve as a performance coach and career mentor for undergrad and early career resources within the CFO Advisory team.
  • Identify and lead internal initiatives and actively contribute to the continued growth and evolution of the CFO Advisory segment and overall Consulting business.
  • Support business development and sales efforts in partnership with practice leadership to drive expansion of services into new clients and markets.

What You Will Bring
  • 5-10 years of experience working in strategy or management consulting, with increasing levels of client-facing responsibility.
  • Experience leading client projects or workstreams spanning strategy, transformation, and operational improvement.
  • Strong ability to understand client business models and operate across industries and/or deep experience in a select industry such as healthcare, financial services, or private equity
  • Proven experience building and managing plans for large transformation efforts as well as developing executive-level presentations and deliverables.
  • Track record of managing teams and overseeing day-to-day delivery across engagements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end project management and change management for large-scale transformations. Advanced skills in performing market and data analysis as well as building reports and dashboards to visualize and communicate insights.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and senior business audiences.
  • Knowledge of finance transformation, FP&A, controllership and/or finance operations.
  • Knowledge of consulting business development, sales and account management processes.
  • Foundational coaching and people management skills for early career resources.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to build relationships and align stakeholders.
  • High energy, strong integrity, and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with project management toolkit, including MS Project and Smartsheet.
  • Project or Change Management certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

What You Can Expect
  • An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.
  • Compensation commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and other factors, including geographic location, market and operational factors.
  • Total Rewards based on eligibility include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).
