Overview

Theย Constructionย Engineer Iย supportsย the project teamย byย processing,ย maintaining,ย and updating logs, instructions, and submittalsย necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and toย theย quality specifiedย by customer goalsย and needs.ย This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to offices for training, meetings,ย etc. ย ย 

Responsibilities
  • Ensures contract document logs areย maintainedย and updated as neededย 
  • Accurately processes and distributesย submittals and RFIsย ย 
  • Maintains material inventory logs for self-perform scopesย ย 
  • Utilizes construction management platformsย to support field reporting, labor tracking, and equipment logsย ย 
  • Participates in and writes notes, instructions, or minutes from meetings that clearly communicate discussion agreements, decisions, and actionย ย 
  • Seeksย to understand customer goals and needsย by proactively andย consistently lookingย for ways to support themย 
  • Ensures planned deadlines are metย ย 
  • Develops industry relationships and expandsย professional networks that have potential to generate opportunities for Next 150ย 
  • Assistsย in coordinating the field execution of self-perform work, supporting craft labor operations, materialย logistics, equipment deployment, and field productivityย tracking to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient project delivery

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's orย Master's Degree in Construction Managementย or similar fieldย 
  • 0-1 years with a large trade contractor, construction management, or general contractor organizationย ย 
  • OSHA 10-hour certified required; OSHA 30-hour preferredย 
  • Estimating experience and union experience is preferred but notย requiredย 
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experienceย 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
