Summary

Maverick is seeking a Project Manager ("PM") to support our growing team in Boston, with offices across the US. We are looking for an efficient PM to contribute to and support the planning and execution of projects. The PM's responsibilities include monitoring project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project documents and reports.

Successful candidates should be able to oversee multiple projects of varying scope within our engineering, construction, and utility services departments — including project management of electrical and electrical utility construction work, as well as telecommunications and EV infrastructure projects. An outstanding PM will maintain oversight of all project activities, identify issues early, and ensure they are resolved promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Management of construction and telecommunication infrastructure projects for new site builds and modifications to existing facilities.
  • Foster and maintain customer relationships, managing budgets, projects schedules and timelines, goals, internal staff, and external vendors in accordance with existing contract terms and conditions.
  • Accountable for achieving project milestones and revenue targets while mitigating risk exposure for assigned projects.
  • Manage cross-functional teams of professional and technical resources, construction managers, directly employed crews and subcontractors through numerous project milestones through project completion, in compliance with established processes and policies established by the company, the client, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage all project activities including but not limited to, coordination with architectural and engineering services, permitting, internal pre-deployment meetings, client meetings, scope, deliverables, and material ordering.
  • Interpret contract documents, communicate scope of work to project team and develop schedule and budget forecasts.
  • Ensures timely and accurate invoicing and monitors receivables for project.
  • Serve as Project Manager on electrical and electrical utility construction projects as assigned, in addition to telecommunications and EV infrastructure work.
  • All other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or strong construction/telecommunications background.
  • 3+ years of construction and/or telecommunications experience.
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience; experience managing electrical or electrical utility construction projects is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of telecommunication and/or construction processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel to the construction sites as needed.
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol and background check requirements.
